6 Myths Related to Study

Introduction:

Many students have misconceptions about learning and these myths not only waste your precious time but can also have negative impact on your grades.

Here are top 6 Myths Related to Study 📚📝   and tips to avoid them.

1."I should study only one subject at one time."
Suppose if you go to a gym ,do you do the same type of exercises?
The answer is No.
You rather alternate between different types of exercises. Same way try to study multiple subjects each day rather than studying a single subject whole day. This way you can concentrate better and memorize faster.

2."If I spend more time studying, I will get better grades."

Even if you study 10 hours every day ,that doesn't mean you'll be a top scorer.
It's not about how many hours you study but how you use your study time. Rather than increasing your study time, try to improve your study techniques and skills.
STUDY SMARTER not HARDER

3."I don't have to make notes, everything is already summed up in my textbook."

Many students try to make notes but eventually give up thinking that it is already written in my textbook, what is the use of writing again.
But they are wrong. Taking notes help you to memorize faster and you can learn better. Also they are very helpful in your revision.

4."I can learn everything I need to learn, the night before my test."

Many students think that they can get good marks even after studying one night before the test.
But cramming a night before test will only make you stressed and frustrated. So,it's wise to be prepared beforehand and have revision the night before test.

5."Cramming is the best way for me to study."

Some students believe that they can learn better by cramming. But the reality is:
Cramming is the worst way to study.
By cramming you can store the information only for short term memory. But if you want to store the information for long term memory, your brain must be constantly reminded of the information. Have short but frequent study sessions. In this way your brain  can store the information in a better way and you can get A grade without
Cramming.

6."I may forget the material if I study too much."

This myth is totally absurd. You can never forget the information if you review it again and again. Just think,  if you review your phone number again and again do you think you'll forget it?
Ofcourse Not.
Same way if you review your  information, your topic again and again, you can remember the information very well.
